Automatic rotation when colliding with a wall

I'm using invisible actors as walls. When walking my actor down the middle of them he is fine, but if I rotate into one of the invisible walls, the actor gets stuck and won't rotate right unless I stop moving him forward. I wonder if this is a gamesalad thing and if it would behave differently on the iphone?

Is there a way to automatically rotate off of the wall if the actor is moving forward and is contacting a wall? Just thinking out loud here but maybe a timer that checks if the actor is moving forward but not changing the X/Y then rotate in some random direction until X/Y changes? I'm really new to this so I have no idea what I'm talking about :)

Not sure exactly what you are asking but have you tried changing the collision shape to circle on actor and set friction to 0 on both actor and walls?
