Resetting time & score for the next play through

I seem to have skipped over some of the basics in my game as my timer and score don't reset when the game is played again (on the next play through of the game the time is 0 and the score displayed is from the previous game).
My game time is an Integer attribute while the Score is an Index attribute.
In the game, once the time reaches 0 the scene change to a bonus round then to the high score scene & finally back to the splash page.
The time and score display uses T shirt booths custom font display in both.
I imagine its a change attribute rule that is causing the problem, just not sure what to do to reverse the attribute change.
