Will Apple allow a game which links to a crowd funding site?

Evening World...

CROWDFUNDING
I'm considering setting up a crowdfunding project on a site like Kickstarter.com or indiegogo.com in the hope of raising the funds to be able to create the game, with all the benefits that a real game developing budget brings to the table.

What I'd like to do is submit my point and click adventure game 'Dark Asylum' with a few minutes of cool and polished gameplay. Once the first part is completed the player is congratulated and asked if they'd like to help in the development of a bigger, better and scarier Dark Asylum title.

With a link to the crowdfunding site, where I'll have a fun video which hopefully convinces them to pledge towards the game project in exchange for different tiered rewards...i.e. tshirts, their photo in the game, a credit in the game, early access to pre release builds of the game on Android, iOS and Mac. As well as access to the development blog where those that have pledged can chat and vote on game development ideas, which will allow me to incorporate the members only groups for developers over at my developer network http://www.totgb.com

Whether it would actually succeed is a different matter, but one that I'd like to give a try.

Here's a quick bit of art work I've been working on this evening to tempt the player to find out more and hopefully spread the word about the project.

So what do you think...

Good idea? Bad idea?
Apple should be ok with it as long as the game is polished and fun before getting them to goto the site?

I'm not sure if they'll allow it - they have some issues with such demo versions. But you can always give it a shoot :)

How long is the mini game? If you can readily describe this as a complete game (even if its succinct), then apple might green light it. Just don't use words like demo or trial.

    Thanks for the replys...

The mini game may give you 5 minutes play. It took about 4 months to make when I first started it back in Summer 2011. I've revisited it 3 times since then. I still think its got big potential to be a successful game...

It used to look like this... an mostly still does:

It also led to me making a top down game idea..

I think you should upload your game to the App Store, Jon - you won't lose anything :)

if this is linking to a outside URL. Just make the url show something different from what you truly hope to do. then after your appis approved.. You can change the content of said url.
