Creator vs. iOS performance

Making a game in the creator, its going great (I love Gamesalad).
The game works very well on the iPad.
However, in the creator, it jerks, stutters, gets choppy... like its on a timer or something... roughly every 3 seconds.
Doesn't have this problem on my iPad3 (for the most part, any performance issues I think are due to other factors.)

On my 2011 MBP, quad core i7, 8GB ram and a SSD...
I open my performance monitor while "Previewing" in the creator. GS creator is using about 2GB Ram at its peak.
But the Gamesalad Process is hitting 150%-160% utilization when it spikes... every 3 seconds.
It also does it, but not as bad, in a near empty project.



I know "Buying a Better Computer" can't be the answer, I'm a hardware "enthusiast" and really, this computer is fantastic.
But just to test, I tested it on a 27" iMac, quad-core i7, issue persists...
Downloaded GS Creator for Windows on my super-pc (2x 580GTX in SLI, 4x Intel SSD in Raid0 @1Tb, Quad Core i7 @3.06GHz, 16Gb Ram.)
Cant open the project :P (it just freezes, but I haven't put much time into the windows version. I prefer the Mac UI.)

Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?
Is there something I can do on my end to make this better?
Should I be worried about adding more to my project? (is it possible this issue will be seen in iOS with just a little more stress?)
