When I save a game using Controller Template....All images are gone.....Help

As i stated above. I used the controller template to get started, but now when I use Save As....everything is gone as in images. controls, etc. Including all 10 of the backgrounds that I had inserted.... I am saving to an external hard drive, but that is also where I had the controller template stored. Can you help with any assistance on what I might be doing wrong?
