Help! Controller Shooter Template - cant change A or B Button top image

I have been able to change the bottom image to show the depressed button image, but the A and B button will not let me change them so they show up as that. for example I have made it a fire button with white word fire on display but Black word fire when pushed. the bottom one shows up correct but the top still says A even though I have changed the image. in the editor. What am I doing wrong. This came from the template that is provided by game salad

I have now been able to get the A to go away but now just a white box when run. Image still appears on the screen when I an working on it but preview and it is just a white box
