hurricane ISAAC! anyone in miami?

hurricane didnt do squat :( i like when hurricanes come through. My sister in cuba tells me it was pretty rough. too bad they get most hurricanes coming through. good thing they have stronger house than we do here (Colonial homes). is anyone else here from or at south florida?

    I'm not in Florida, but I am in Houston, Texas. I don't care much for Hurricanes, personally. Especially after Katrina and Ike. Ike ripped the electric breaker box off the outside of my house, and ripped the extension pole out of the box, and laid the power line on the ground in my backyard. I went 3 weeks without running water or electricity. And Katrina dropped over 100,000 degenerate gang members from New Orleans on our doorsteps, and the crime rate shot through the roof for the next 2 years.

    I was a volunteer, and I also shot video with the aftermath Katrina left on people, and got to see first hand how it devastated families, and separated them sometimes for months before they got re-connected with other members of their family. Some came to Houston, some went to Tennessee, and some went to other states, and it was weeks before they were re-united. Talked to an elderly woman that watched her husband float away face down in the water, and there was nothing she could do about it. Left thousands upon thousands of people homeless, people that didn't have much to begin with in the first place.

    I remember being excited when Hurricane Alicia came through here back in the early 80's, but the reality of it sets in when you get hit real hard by one, and are affected. I personally don't care much for Hurricanes anymore.

    i had some pretty f'ed up stories about andrew but i was trying to keep it happy. now im depressed. u think u SLICK? lol jk

    yea i just came inside from walking my dog, theres a nice COLD breeze out. i love it. miami beach is usually SCORCHING HOT
