Exporting game from windows to mac

Hi,

I made a game using windows gamesalad and exported it.
I then imported it on gamesalad on my friends mac running mountain lion.
Everything in the game works except none of the touch functions work?

Is this a problem with exporting from windows to mac?

Thanks

    Hey Kyukon,

No answer for you sorry, but just wanted to mention that I've been exporting from GameSalad Windows Beta (windows7) to Mac without issue. My friend has one of those new MacBook Pro (retina displays) and he is able to open the project file and everything works. And when he publishes to his iPhone (he also purchased the ios dev account), it all works fine.

However, I am also having issues with 'touch' not working, but only when I publish to my Android device (I purchased the Pro account here). It all works fine on my PC... the 'touch' just becomes ineffective somewhere during the process of converting/installing.

But it's buggy for sure... I think the 'touch' behaviour needs some attention!

So i've come to the conclusion that the game zip file is becoming corrupt and won't open on mac gamesalad. I have used 3 different versions of GS and everytime I open my game and preview my game the preview flickers blue and my touch buttons (e.g. play) do not work.

When I select my play scene on the scene selection pane the game works, and I can click the left and right arrows to move my character (so some touch buttons are working) but blue flickering is still happening.

On my lose screen none of the touch buttons work (play again, home)

There is blue flickering on every scene and no music or sounds are working.

Is the windows GS version not ready for exporting yet? This is a hassle because I have purchased my ios dev account but can't take my game any further because i can't publish it since it is corrupt when I open it on a Mac.

    Please help

the win7 generated file format gsproj. while the the mac open file format is gameproj
"Xxx.gameproj", modify the name of the project folder can be opened on Mac

I can open the file in mac gamesalad, the problem is when it's opened most of the behaviours I assigned to actors don't work and in preview mode the game keeps flickering to a blue screen.

Also when I test the game with ad hoc on my iphone the behaviours don't work, it acts exactly the same as it does in the mac GS viewer

Looks like I'll just have remake the game on my friends mac, shouldn't be too much of a problem setting the behaviours again. The graphics were the hard part haha

So it is better if we make game on mac than on windows?

If you have a mac that is easily accessible when you need you should probably use it to make your game. The problem I have sounds pretty rare and could just be an issue with my friends mac. I wouldn't let this put you off from creating on windows

Oh, so I figured out why touch wasn't working for me when publishing to Android - may not be a solution to your issue though.

It was my project Display Size (not scene size or camera size). I had all of them set to my Android resolution, which was causing issues. Apparently you need to use the drop down defaults, even though Android res is not in there. Resetting the project res to iPhone's 480x320 meant the 'touch' worked on my Android phone.

My scene size and camera size are still higher res for my Galaxy S2... but telling it the display size is actually 480x320 made the touch work again... even though that wasn't the final display size.

    Go figure.
