So with the old publishing system you could publish a mac game without needing mac app store certs.
So far I've not been able to do that with GS 0.10.00. I keep getting 'error 3'
I can choose the 'download' option from the GS web publisher interface instead of 'sign app'. But when I rename the folder that is downloaded to .app it won't let me open the resulting file.
Anyone else have better luck?
Edit: Plan B. Let's see if I can still publish with 0.9.9.4

@Saladstraightshooter - Could you ask the dev team to add back the ability to publish mac games without having mac app atore certs? It's quite useful for testing.
(Or kindly point me in the right direction if I've missed something obvious)
Publishing with 0.9.9.4 still works fine so that's what I did.
Bob over at GS helpdesk suggested the following with 0.10.00 which kind of worked for me - the app was created but crashed after launching.
"To receive the unsigned app package, click the download button while on the Mac platform tab.
Please note that there is currently a bug we are working to resolve where clicking this button provides you with a folder instead of an app file. As a temporary workaround, you can try the following steps:
- Download the "contents" folder for your app.
- Create a new, empty folder on your desktop.
- Drag the "contents" folder into the empty folder (no compression needed)
- Rename the previously empty folder to "xxxx.app" (The xxxx part needs to match your app's name exactly as listed in the "Bundle name" field in the info.plist)"
