When i select Game>Devices>Device Orientation to "Landscape Right" and Save my project Gamesalad is Crush.
After that i open my project and Device Orientation is "Landscape Left" again.

That attribute doesn't really matter to your project.
You would need to change the Scene->Attributes->Autorotate attributes.

It seems as though it does matter, I'm finding that the GS splash screen is always "Landscape Left" but I would like my game to be "Landscape Right" when launched as well as the GS splash screen. Right now the GS splash screen is "Landscape Left" and with it being "Landscape Left" you are more likely to then rotate the phone to "Landscape Left" and then the game which is set to launch "Landscape Right" would then auto rotate and that all seems a bit wonky.

Ok I figured it out. If you want the splash screen to launch in "Landscape Left or Right" you select the Orientation you want when your going through the publishing under (Platform/Advanced Options) you select just one Orientation under (Supported Orientations). This will determine how the splash screen is displayed when the game is launched. Then to support both "Landscape Left and Right" when playing the game or anything beyond the splash screen you would need to change the Scene->Attributes->Autorotate attributes and select both "Landscape Left and Right", like codemonkey said above.

I think that the confusion is in the publish settings (Supported Orientations) which I think most people would check both the "Landscape Left and Right" Orientations, and this will cause the app to always launch in "Landscape Left"

JBULLFROG, when you publish go into advance and click both landscape left and landscape right. Again this is in PUBLISH not the scene attributes.

    cheers
