I'm not sure, but I don't think you reject I think you just "update"

Apple is now officially saying to reject any Beta 5 application, regardless of status and upload the new GM binary.

The Beta5 submission was for compatability testing on an actual dEvice, but now they need a final GM version no matter what in order to submit it to the app store.

If you are having the issue I am where your app status is "Removed from sale" and there is no option to reject,
apple is lookng into it. The Apple folk informed me that I
can wait or go ahead and "Update Application" and set
version to 1.01 or 1.1 (anythng higher than 1.0). When
you do this a secnd copy will show in the Manage
Applications section of iTunes connect which is normal
(the same thing happens when you update a regular
iPhone app). Once the GM version is approved your app will be approved and only one will show in iTunes connect with the version number you changed with the update.

According to the engineers the most important thing is that they HAVE to have a GM binary.

This is everything that's been said by the Apple people on the Apple forums. Hope this helps!!

Thanks for the info! So it's safe to go ahead when the patch is available to "Reject Binary" and just reupload the app as new

    Otherwise

If you don't have the option to reject binary, just submit an update then

1 of my 3 apps was rejected but they said I have until the 31st to reupload a new binary, so I'm assuming I could "replace binary" for the original one

    Fingers crossed!

Did they tell you why the ipad app was rejected Buterbean?

One silly menu button that I forgot to program, I polished that thing up like crazy, but left an options menu button in there that I should have taken out, and didn't and it wasn't programmed to do anything, just stale.

At least they told you. That is the good news. I discovered something like that on my crazy sound app. I left out a scene and figured they would catch it so I rejected and resubmitted and now all is good. Just waiting like everyone else for the GM to arrive here :-)

I'm waiting to resubmit once the patch is here too :)

I'm not going to upload it until the patch is there, I think at this point that's all they want, so we still have a chance to be featured on opening day even if submitted by tomorrow?

In the very least, I have 2 other iPad apps approved

Yepp, now that the GM is available from Apple, all they want is that binary. So even if an app is still waiting to be approved for the first time, reject it and submit the GM binary! All thats left is the GS servers to be updated, which they are currently working on!

One of my iPad apps was rejected and they told me about a specific image I left out (what imageview, what actions/button it was attached to), it was VERY detailed which surprised me! Only took a few min to fix!

Where is the announcement. I'm out of town tomorrow. I needed it yesterday

Yea! So iphone, does that mean we still have a chance at launch day even if the app was originally rejected? If we fix it and resubmit by tomorrow, it could still appear on launch day in the store?

We're still waiting for GS to upload the patch so you can finalize the iPad process.

Basically you're uploading the binary again to them once we get the patch from GS which they said they're working on

    @ iphoneDevforme:

I just recently got an email saying the app has been "removed from sale" and I don't see a place where I can reupload the binary once we get the patch, so do I have to "add the applications" as new now? Or how is this going to work?
