Scrolling Text

I see mentions of doing scrolling text as a
graphic (ie. "...create in photoshop") but can you
display text with an actor and just make buttons
or invisible "hotspot: areas for scroll up/down?

Also -- can you put long blocks of text in a
table cell and apply any sort of formatting to it
(either in cell or while displaying cell value) ?
