You need to think of it this way. It's just a perspective. It is still 2D + an angle. Model it out on paper first or even make a scene with something like legos (no joking). Recreate that in your graphic editor of choice and GameSalad.
@TheMoonwalls is right though, if this is a hurdle you should start off with something more straight forward. Once you have understanding of the fundamentals of Gamesalad working with a 2D environment, an isometric game should be familiar territory.
