Load/Save Attribute on Ad Hoc

Is it normal for it to forget attributes that have been saved when you kill the app on the multitasking bar (e.g. high scores reset to 0)? If this is not normal, It might be because I installed the ad hoc version of my app onto my iPad without going through iTunes - I replaced "GS Viewer" in Xcode with it instead because I didn't want to wipe out all my apps on my iPad to sync my one app in my library (my ad hoc app). So, any suggestions?
