Replicate Behaviour?

Hey everyone I was just wondering if I should use the replicate behavior if I wanted to place about 50 of the same actor across a scene, or if that would be too heavy on the engine.

Personally i never use the replicate because the replicated actors don't carry all of the rules from the original.

    Example...

If you make an actor and replicate it 5 times and do if touch is pressed destroy you wont be able to touch and destroy any of the replicated and if you touch the original they will all destroy.

It all depends on what the actor does. Replicate is great When the only real use of the actor is a visual thing. I used have replicate for things like ammo counters and health bars in the past and its generally much better since its only one actor instead of 50. You'll have to do some testing to see if it works for your situation. Like Darren said though. It won't trigger any touch of collide rules on anything but the original actor.

ok thanks I haven't really used the replicate much before. I'm only going to need it for a wall actor probably (if i do end up using it).
