How to publish with adhoc?

I am having many problems with adhoc publishing, and it is on my side. Can someone please walk me through the steps on how to publish with adhoc?

    I followed the video, and I made the provisioning profile and loaded it onto my phone. Then when I was in the web publishing I set the bundle identifier to the bundle identifier I made for the adhoc app id. When I attempt to sign the app I do not have the option of publishing with my adhoc provisioning profile, all I see is the * profile. What do I do?
