How to compress .caf file?

Hey guys, I was wondering how I would go about compressing a .caf file (I have max, but I could'nt find any tutorials on it and whenever i convert my mp3 to .caf its always the same size, I know theres a way to do this because right now my game audio is at 13.4 megs and I need to get it down to like 3 or 4 thanks I appreciate it:)
