Hi,
I'm stuck at square on with Game Salad. The control panel I'm staring at (on a PC) has only a basic similarity to the control panel in the tutorials and the PC pdf manual. No game samples come up when opening GS, all I get is a spartan layout. Any suggestions? Appreciate any help.

The windows creator does not have the full Dashboard functionality like the Mac creator does yet. I do believe it is coming but currently the Windows Creator lacks in those areas. Also you will notice the MAc Creator videos not matching mac or windows UI layout. The UI is in a process of changing. Luckily all the game creation function are all there they are just in different places. I think once the new UI gets finalized for Both platforms we will see new tutorials coming out to match all of the new stuff.

Fir the time being its gonna be a bit of trial and error for you to watch mac videos and then try to apply that in the windows Creator.

Hang in there. Windows is still a fairly new thing to GameSalad and it will only get better.

    Thanks tenrdrmer,
I suspected that was the case. Makes it hard to grasp the fundamentals. How can I access the samples seen in the video tutes since they don't appear on the dashboard? Or do they only work in a Mac environment?

Officially they only work for mac though there have been a few converted over. if you do some searching on the forum there have been topics of ways to make the mac versions work for Windows but I have not ever been successful in doing so. Heres link to the converted Windows version that are available. http://cookbook.gamesalad.com/tutorials/7/parts/43
    Cheers
