Do tables save data after the app closes?

I want to make "weird facts" type app.
The facts are in a table, with a category and "favorite"
Clicking on a button will mark the fact as a favorite,
changing the favorite value from 0 to 1.
My question -- will the app save the table with these changes?
...and is the save automatic on app close?

    I'm battling away with a few app ideas
    next step is to mess with an ad-hoc :)
    Dont know how tricky that is yet...

    best is to save it immediately when favorite is ticked or enabled.

    @glgames - thank u.... I'm messing with gamesalad here & there and love it -- its more addicting than the apps i'll probably create :)
