Help me with game salad following actors.

So i have two actors first one is the actor ( named game)that you are going to be able to control (up - going up, down-going down, n - shooting blocks)but i already did this.And other actor (named game 2)is my enemy, so the enemy has to follow the game actor on y axis but when he follows the actor it has to be a bit slower then game actor still having a smooth acceleration.How can i make that this actor would able to do this.
So this what i did (not works):
1. I created attribute called PlayerY
2. I went to the game actor and constrained the game.PlayerY to self.position.Y;
3. I went to the enemy actor and constrained self.position to game.PlayerY
It sort of works but he follows the same speed as the game actor, when i put it to the timer and set the timer 0.1 it's not smooth. (i though may it's possible with accelerate but i don't know how)
