Hi,

I am creating a retina display iPad game and I need to rotate my background image. When i rotate the image there are the black edge of the screen because the image it too small. Is there anyway to import images bigger than 2048x2048 in Gamesalad?

Thanks

only thing i can recommend importing the 2048 image and resizing it in gamesalad but this will loose resolution... or you could perhaps just resize the image to 1024?

i don't think the iphone itself accepts images over 2048x2048, so GS has a limitation on it.

I am building a retina game (so the background sizes are 2048x1536). Any way to import it and then maybe resize it from the folder?

There was a trick some time ago, but I never tested it with images this big.

    1. Make a smaller copy of the image but with the exact same name and extension.
    2. Open the project and import the smaller copy.
    3. Close the project and right click on the project file to see the contents.
    4. Navigate to the Image folder and replace the copy with the bigger original.

Remember to backup your project before doing it.

other way will be use 2 images, set the second image to rotate with the first image. Make the images seamless and make the scene size bigger so that the image outside scene doesn't get auto deleted.
