    Actually I was thinking about this from before I saw the Think Geek joke. I hate making controls for iPhone / iPod Touch games. On-Screen just doesn't seem as good to me as real buttons. There should be a controller that you could attach to the device. That would make the games more fun.

    I'm not sure if anything like this has been released yet.

    I'm sure they will get tens of thousands of clicks on the "Buy" button for that thing and someone will think "Hey, we could make a killing if we kept costs below $xx and released an API."

    I know I would buy one. Heck, they could put a little extender on it to use it with the iPhone/Touch too.
