So,
Been reading the forums, going through tutorials, etc.. following it all i feel like.
I followed the platformer tutorial which shows you how to setup movement for left, right and talks about easiest to use approach if adding in control 'd-pad'.
created a actor/scene that way but it doesn't move as fluidly at angles like the default 'Basic Shooter up' demo does and in fact those movement controls appear to be different then the platformer approach.
Also, looking at animation and was looking at the tutorial labeled.
'How do i move and stop an actor with animation' and looks like you have different controls as well for movement..
so question is - which way is the best/efficient one to use?
1) http://gamesalad.com/wiki/how_tos:platformer_tutorials:tutorial1_basic_movement
2) http://gamesalad.com/wiki/how_tos:gsc_move_stop_animate
3) default 'shooter up' demo starter
working on a basic platformer game for iPad in portrait mode.
thanks,
Storm
