Downloading Unsigned Mac App - Goes to error page

I have a simple game which I've uploaded to the Gamesalad site, and now I'd like to create a Mac app so that I can test the app. Well so far the Mac app generates just fine, but when I click "download project" button it takes me to this page: http://arcade.gamesalad.com/error - which says:

"Oh noes! We have a problem, and beg for your indulgence; forgive our error."

I've tried it 20 times, and 20 times I've been sent to that page.

I'm sure this can't be what happens to everyone, people would probably be up in arms if no one at all could download their app, so I'm thinking there's something simple I'm missing perhaps? Can anyone please help me out and let me know what is wrong in this situation? Thank you everyone :)

I could be wrong, but I thought that the unsigned mac app doesn't actually work, you still need to sign the app.

Hi, thanks for the response. When I go to sign the app, it asks me if I want to open the application "Gamesalad" (which is already open), it goes to this app signing process and after a few minutes Gamesalad crashes. This happens every time, which is why I finally decided to try downloading an unsigned app.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, all I want to do is download an app and test it out because the game seems to run quite slow on the arcade.

I'm having the same problem... I assumed you could download the unsigned mac app and play with it on the mac but just goes to the 404 error page. I emailed a bug but not sure if I'll get a response.

I assume it will just 'start to work' once they notice it's going missing files...

Thank you for the help :)

I am now able to download the unsigned app, it is a zip file with a loooong title. After unzipping the file, I found that I cannot start the app. It immediately crashes every time.

If there is any part of the (very long) error code that I should post up here to help diagnose the problem, please let me know. Thanks :)

Hi, just bumping this up because it still hasn't been resolved for me. Is anyone else running into an issue where a game runs fine when testing and in web preview, but when converted to an unsigned mac app it immediately crashes every time? Any help would be enormously appreciated

Unsigned Mac Apps are currently broken... that's being addressed in the upcoming release.
Is this fixed yet? Out of curiosity? Was getting ready to start doing iOS builds.

Yes it's fixed. In 0.10.1 you can download unsigned mac apps and they will work.

However, there is a problem with signing. Some of us are finding that mac apps uploaded with 0.10.1 can't be signed. You get an error which would suggest your certificates are incorrect, but this is not the case.

But... if you upload with 0.10.0 and then sign with 0.10.1 the game will get signed as normal.

But....... by uploading with 0.10.0 you may end up getting rejected by the mac app store because of a 'sandbox' error. Depends on the reviewer though.

So I guess the answer is it's not really fixed?
