What is the best way to create a running character?

Hi all,

I was wondering how most people create there animations and what software they use to create these animated characters . Does anybody have a good tutorial? My game is almost finished but the running character is missing.

    Flash is the best software for creating 2d character animations. And its vector base so you can adjust in any size. Check the sample video of flash running animation.
