Hey guys!
This is my first title that has become a serious project of mine, i thought I would make a thread about the progress and post some art if you guys are intrested. I would really like some feedback as it will help me work harder to release
Ive allways wanted to make a horror game and ive allways wanted to use 2d pixelart
Remember that the art is in the " beta stage" and will be more detailed later at release
Please leave some feedback and try to forgive my half-bad english
Cheers

Shadows Peak is an atmospheric psychological horror that explores the dark side of a player.
I wanted to do a series of chapters, with like 30 minutes (or more) gameplay, if you get captured you loose. I think thats an element making it more scary when you get chased down the corridors
Thx for the feedback
I have to agree with imGua - I think you should have save/load more frequently than every 30 minutes, or as fabulous as your game may be, gamers may get frustrated, and not make further attempts at playing. Not like the good ol' days of gaming, most need instant gratification, and the ability to save, save, save!
Looks fantastic though!
But 30 mins is too long to have to restart in most app games, but if you find away that works then you are the one laughing. All the best with it all
Can't wait to see how it turns out
Elfizm
Ill definatly check out options around saving/non saving.
Maybe 1-2 checkpoints instead?
Good luck
btw here is some more pics
Cheers!
thinking about making more chapters of the series, Maybe 1-3 chapters.
Got a greeaat story going on!
Im very excited
Is it a primarily game with collisions/hazards where the player can die?
Or more of an adventure/puzzle game where you don't die but have to solve things or make choices?
but there is stuff you should really be scared of
If the player has multiple paths maybe it would be interesting to make their choices permanent.
So for example, after finding a key maybe they have a choice of 2 doors. But they can only choose 1 and once they do, that's it, no going back.
So this would add a layer of immersion by making their choices more 'important'.
You could have 3 different player profiles so they can play the game again but make different choices.
Just wanted to update you with some graphics.
I did a totall remodelleling of the player, so he looks alittle more advanced
And ive done he*kalotof art! like 30 different rooms T_T. much more left tho.
The game is planned to be released around this christmas!
I leave you now for a month or so with this picture of the main character
Ill upload a trailer here in like 1 month! Cheers
