How Do You Handle Updates?

Having not yet published a finished app, I'm wondering how do you go about handling updates? For example, the recent rush of folks to produce iPad apps has left me wondering, what will you do should some problem/error occur with your game that was only discoverable with an actual device? If the Express version of GS doesn't offer any outside communication, is there any way to provide updates to your app without forcing people who already paid to pay again? Sorry for the novice question, but thanks in advance for your response.

I'm assuming you don't have a iPod / iPhone, well its cool dont worry about it :) for iPod / iPhone / iPad games /apps you can submit "updates" to your game, when you do this, people will check the update tab of the appstore, and your update will be there. As of right now there is no way to do a paid update, so for every update you release, EVERYONE will get it for free. Hope this clears some stuff up:) Good Luck! :)

Yes I have an iPod (Touch). I was asking how, as game developers, you handle updates to your games. It sounds like it's a simple as increasing a version number or similar uploading a new version to Apple? I'm asking because I haven't done this before and was wondering what the process involves when using GS.

Oh sorry, I'm really tired and not thinking straight haha.

Ok you publish your game, you submit that to apple, you come back to gamesalad, you publish your changes submit that to apple (and change the version number) and boom your done! Again sorry about my drowsiness, been working on this update all day! submitting now!
    Good Luck! :)

Yes, it's the same process as uploading your initial app. A little easier actually since you don't have to enter all the data. Just up the version number.

Customers who already bought your app do not need to purchase it again. A little badge appears on the App Store icon and they can easily install the update.
