Hey all,

It's been a while since I've posted here, but I've been hanging around these forums for a few years now, going by a few different names (Nerdblender, ooi). Last year I released my first Gamesalad game called Tap the App on the app store, which did moderately okay, got to new and noteworthy, etc.

I'm now back in to game dev in a big way and my plan is to make my full-time living as an indie game developer. I've set up a blog at http://www.syntaxerrorready.com where I post about the process of trying to get to the point where I can hopefully quit my day job. I'm covering everything from game design to finance and setting up a business entity. I've also posted a pretty comprehensive 3 page roundup of 2d drag-and-drop game engines, and the pros and cons of each one. I'll be honest right away and tell you that after I started building my second game in Gamesalad I started hitting a few limitations with the current implementation of the engine, so for my next game I've chosen a different engine. However regardless of the engine I'm using I'm sure there will be a lot of relevant info for indie game devs just starting out, and maybe you can learn from my mistakes.

I've become very attached to the Gamesalad community since around 2009, and while not posting as frequently as some I generally check in every single day. I'd love to get some more readers to my blog, some twitter/ facebook/ Google+ followers too, and I'd genuinely like to be helpful to anybody in the Gamesalad community after all the help I've gotten from it over the past few years.

So please, if you're interested check out my blog, hit me up in the comments, friend me, tweet me, etc.

Thanks, Barry.
