Importing 960x640 image, GS says 720x480?

Good day everyone,

I have been working on graphics for my game. I make them on windows computer at a size of 960x640 but when i important them into GS it says they are only 720x480. The image is displayed as 960x640 on Mac as well so that is not the issue.
Can I just make them bigger in GS or would that blur them?

    So is this normal or are my computers to blame? Any advice or recommendation would be helpful :)

    Well this is an awkward situation..... I am not sure how i find out or change it. But here is what paint.net tells me.

    Pixel size:
    Width = 960 pixels
    Height = 640 pixels
    Resolution = 96 pixels per inch (ppi)

    Print size:
    Width: 10.00
    Height: 6.67

    So any idea what i have to do now. Sorry if this is such an easy question but i normally don't work with computer graphics.

    Your images need to be imported at 72ppi to scale properly.

    Where you checking the image size in gs? When you drag and drop the image onto a blank actor in the actors in main window, it automatically takes the size of the image. But if you open an actor and then drag the image onto the image area of actor, the size will remain of the size of actor and not the true image size. So maybe it's the actor size being displayed. Make sure your image is divisible by 2 or 4.
