Do Tables Cause You to Get the Spinning Beach Ball of Death?

fogartyfogarty Member, PRO Posts: 181
Does Game Salad crash for anyone else when they're working with tables. I have ~45 tables in my game, and whenever I start opening them I usually get the spinning beach ball of death within a few clicks. Sometimes if I let it spin long enough, it goes on to the next screen, but eventually it usually crashes.

Any way around this? Right now I'm just saving a lot and closing GS and restarting when I start having problems.

I've never used so many tables in a project before.. usually 1-2..

GameSalad is not exactly a low level development tool so what would be ok for some games might not hold up in GameSalad. You may have crossed some threshold.

Some possible suggestions.. when i was using snow leopard i was having issues with performance and audio. the solution suggested was to make a new profile specifically for gamesalad. it sounds like a pain and it is a little, but really its not that bad.

When I upgrade to mountain lion i didn't need to do the dual profile thing, but i will say that it did seem like maybe my main profile had some crap running in the background or something gumming things up because the clean/new profile ran much smoother.

    Good luck,
    Caleb

@forgarty can you please submit a bug report with a sample project that has this issue. I would like to get this issue in our system.
