Publishing Options/Questions
I was just curious about my publishing options, my questions are:
1. Is publishing to HTML5 only an option if I am uploading to the GameSalad Arcade? Or am I able to host the game myself on my own server? I'm just curious because I would like to try publishing to some other portal websites, but am unsure of whether or not I'll exceed the 10mb limit for the GameSalad Arcade.
2. Is publishing to the iOS still only an option if I am working with Mac Creator, or can it be done with Windows Creator yet?
3. If I go pro, will GameSalad get a cut of any revenue I generate, either via ads or in-game purchases, or game purchases?
4. When "publishing" the game, is there a way to generate a .exe or other compiled file type on my local machine? If so, what file types?
5. Are there any other size limits I should know about? I know the AppStore size limit is like 50mb now. Android is like 50mb, plus the 2GB expansions, speaking of which is gamesalad capable of creating 50mb .apks and putting the rest of the app into expansion files? And I'm assuming the respective app market hosts the files, so do I have to upload the files to there, or how does that work?

2. The reason you need a Mac Computer is because of Apple as you need Xcode to sign iOS apps. So you can make an app for Apple devices but no sign or submit to Apple Store.
3. No, you are only paying for features. You own it all.
4. This I can't answer but I know there is windows 8 publishing now.
5. I can tell you that some people have made games of 100mb but gamesald is not great for super large games like this. All files you submit to Apple, Google, Amazon are managed and hosted on their respective stores and they take a 30% cut of gross revenue.
