Facebook Page Marketing

Hello,

Im new to facebook and was wondering for those of you who have a facebook page which type of page should I create a Company, Organization or Institution or a Brand/Product page. Also is there a way to give people who like you on Facebook gifts like a code which they can redeem.

Thanks

    Hey,

So It really depends what you are promoting.. Are you promoting your new app or your new app company? If your promoting a game you made, then you would go with Brand/Product. If you were promoting a company, then you would go with Company.. Im not sure about the Facebook gifts and how it works. I think its relatively new if Im not wrong. Hope this helps.

I'm going to be promoting all my apps and my company. Which would you suggest?

I would suggest to make a company page then. So you can market all your apps in one organized page :)

Recommend doing the company page. If, however, your game becomes huge then I would say make a page solely dedicated to the game itself. Make it more personalized for the fans and making it easier to provide support for that game.

In truth, you want to "brand" your company in as much as a product. That said, @JohnPapiomitis is correct in that you want to create a company page. It's all you really need - in terms of Facebook promoting that is.

From there you can introduce new products, offer discounts via printable coupons in the form of .jpg, .png, you can offer discount codes, all from your Timeline. Naturally, by allowing posts you can interact with followers (essentially your customer base) seamlessly and as much as you wish to. The downfall of course being if you have a disgruntled customer, THEY can also post for the world to see.

There is of course FB Advertising but that's a whole other ball game and one I don't suggest you tackle to start off with. The key to being successful with the way I touched on above is to treat your company FB page like your personal page. Go out and like other similar pages. They will likely "like" your page back. It's a simple form of cross-promoting. Offer to allow them to post discounts for their services on your page and vice-versa.

Social Media business networking can be very rewarding if done correctly.

    Hope this helps...

    P.S. For the record, I'm a marketing major. :-)
