Questions about icon and screenshots

Hi guys,i've almost done with my first game and i have some questions.
My game is for iphone 4/4s and is in landscape mode.

1)I need screenshots only in 960x640 or also in 1136x640 (i'm a bit confused)

2)For the icon, i made 512x512 is right? or i need also other dimensions

Hi there,

1. You can use 960x640 - but 1136x640 isn't required.

2. The icon needs to be 1024x1024 in iTunes connect.

@Ronaldinho10 Icon is key to success in appstore/google play. It creates first impression of your app.

Always verify icon in 175x175 size. its itunes icon profile size when user view any app profile & 75x75 is app listing size. As we can see perfect radius is require in your icon. once you submit in appstore they automatically add 32 radius in 175x175 size icon. So for 1024x1024 icon size 192 radius is require.

For Appstore: You can put red square in background and 2nd square should have radius.

For Google Play: Add radius in red square background.



2nd important point is to make icon more brighter and stronger. User should feel to click that icon. And it should looks awesome and highlighted easily with other icons.
Check spaceship is totally missing in 175x175 the icon. Think how it looks in 75x75 size. And there is no life in the icon. You have to still work around on icon detailing.


For screenshot make your first screenshot in portrait and 4 others in landscape or portrait as per your game. The reason for making first screenshot portrait is it looks perfect in ios6 appstore. Check angry birds star wars for batter idea.

For my 1024x1024 icon i have to add a red square in the background and make a 192 radius for my icon ?

@Ronaldinho10 if you want to submit in appstore go with red square instead of red 192 radius. Because apple automatically adjust that.

And for Google play use 192 radius red background with transparency...

ok,understood,just to recap for app store i need a 1024x1024 and a 114x114 for the app icon on device,right?

icon needs to be 1024x1024.
i think all screenshots need to be 1136x640
