Actor Grouping

Has anyone suggested Actor Grouping? Like instead of creating a single actor, create a group with No individual values other than the name in which one could put related actor parts?

Example: I have a single Car actor. In order to have it look and act the way I want to, I have the Car actor itself with all controls and collisions, a Headlight and Tail light graphic constrained to it, another dummy actor 'under' it for spawning exhaust particles and skid mark particles. Totals 4 actors to make up the car.

When I need to spawn it into a scene, I have to spawn all 4 actors.. would be great if I could spawn them as a Group..

Just a thought..

Yeah, lots of people have requested the grouping of objects, it would be very useful.

Yep, groups would help - along with a thousand other features as basic as snap to grid and not crashing when you use the colour selector or imported images staying in the order you imported them or even just being able to log into the forum without having to fight your browser for half an hour !

    :D

Hopefully some of this stuff will turn up in the new engine out next year.

Yeah it's a nightmare, some days are better than others but sometimes I can't log in for a few hours at a time - even seconds after posting ! You make a post, spot a glaring spelling error, hit 'edit' to correct it and then spend 20 minutes trying to log in, eventually giving up altogether.

And even when I can log in I have to go through a long drawn out ceremony of clearing caches, resetting the browser, clicking on 'marketplace' and then 'community' then logging in then going back to 'marketplace', logging in again, then touching my nose and spinning around 5 times whilst saying "rosebud, rosebud, rosebud" - all whilst naked . . .

    :D

Also I noticed that using upper or lower case letters or numbers or people's names in a post tends to get you logged out again, as does breathing and looking at the screen, lol.
