Advise: League of ninjas template, don't buy unless you are a black belt on GS

I bought this template some weeks ago, and today im still triying to understand the normal movement of the player jajajajja

Seriusly, its a huge template, extremely complex to understand if you're not an expert, great job tho, but hard as hell if you're a new user like me and bought it with the intetion to get ideas, and learn.

30$ for a playable version of a 0'99cts game

P.D. You can create new graphics and more levels and sell it like it is...

Yep, it takes atleast a year to really learn GS. Most people start off with way to big ideas and need to start small and grow into the big ideas.

I want to buy a simple template but they are selling it for $100 :(
I'm saving up for my iPhone lol... I'm developing a game and I don't even have the device :P And don't mention becoming a Pro in GameSalad!

It's not easy, however templates are the fastest way to learn some tricks.
I think you will learn lots of things from a complex template, but with some patience

I had the same experience with the Cheesman template (very similar game) but after spending some hours looking into it, it started making sense. And now I´m tweeking, designing and buliding my own awsome game based on the gameplay in this template. And i`ve learned a lot! So just keep studing it, it`s probably going to make sense after a while :)

@DeepBlueApps.com (Darren) thank you very much! I'm already looking into it!
Do you have any jump & run template?

But one question @SinSquid, did you find the group of rules that you get from cheesman, like the best and easiest way to do this? Because i think it shouldn´t, if its the shortest and the better way to do the normal movements for example, it its quite far away to be called "simply".

I mean, i will keep pushing on it, for sure, but at the end, the things you have to do are a lot to have a simply normal movement who works well on an iphone :/

Well I havent checked out the League of ninjas template, but the cheesman template was well organized once i understod it. All/most rules was named "Rule Jump" "Rule move left" etc. So it was pretty easy to tweek the movement. But there are a LOT of rules. The cheesman template doesn`t come with a meny system, and there are some other minor things you have to do for yourself, but I absolutely learned a lot, and think a finnaly understand the whole template. But it takes time, and you should know a bit more than just the basics of Gamesalad.

Also, most things done in this template (i guess League of Ninas to) are done in tutorials by Tshirtbooth earlier. So i just used a lot of time searching, studying and create my own game from this. I will announce it soon, just have to find a good title for it :)
