Tried skype on ipad and it works perfectly looks like a giant iphone when making a call....

    My wife and I were just wondering about Skype on the iPad. That makes me happy :)
    Cheap calls to my family across the pond!

    Think what it will be like when the version with the forward facing camera comes out.

    The lack of camera on front was the only reason I wasn't waiting in line to get mine. I will still get it, but it will be a month or 2 when I can afford it. I would have made myself afford it if it had that camera though. My wife uses Skype to video chat with family all the time.

    However, there is evidence of Video Chat in the new OS. So that either means front facing camera on the new iPhone (which I doubt) or maybe an add-on attachment for the iPad.

    Or it could just mean nothing of course. You never know with Apple. But I guess we'll see...
