Everytime I update the latest GS version I have to install a new version of the Viewer. And It so far between each update that I forget the steps to installing the viewer. I know some steps require me to go to Itunes connect and make some new files and download them to my mac. then make sure i have the required version of the SDK. And then there is going into the sdk and changing some setting yadda yadda. Can you guys please make a Step by step video on the recent and most up to date way to reinstall new versions of the viewer.

I really dont want to bother TSB. He is always the one who helps me with this. And to much time goes by in between updates I forget the steps.

If your xcode is still set up and all of your development certificates are still in the keychain, you should just be able to open up the viewer xcode project and then run it on your device once and you will have the new viewer.

    Try this:

    1. Download the viewer and unzip- lastest viewer zip is called: GameSalad-iOS_Viewer-0.10.1-beta.zip
    2. In the unzipped folder "viewer-distribution" open the file GameSalad Viewer.xcodeproj
    3. It should open in xcode
    4. Now plug in your device to your computer (iPhone, iPad, iPod etc)
    5. Up at the top of xcode on the left hand side by the triangle button that says "Run" below it, there is a drop down list. Select your device from the list.
    6. Click run to build and run the viewer on your device.
    7. After the viewer builds and runs, you can hit the stop button in xcode. You should now have the viewer on your device to use whenever.

A couple of things I've noticed
    1. The viewer does not run for me from xcode, my device hangs. I have to stop it from running on xcode, unplug my device and then I just tap the new viewer icon from when I ran it in xcode and it works fine.
    2. If your device does not show up in xcode, you have to go to the Organizer which can be launched from xcode at Window->Organizer. Then you just make sure your device is plugged in, find it in the list, select it and click "Use for development". At this point you may have to enter in your developer name and password so that xcode can communicate with the dev center to prep your device for development. This will also allow you to build ad hoc versions of your app that will run on your device.

If this doesn't work, you may need to update your certificates through the dev center. That, as you know, is a whole other subject but there are plenty of tutorials and videos out there. I think with the lastest xcode the process has gotten a lot simpler though I don't remember the exact steps.

can i just reinstall the older version of GS editor. Im sick of all these steps. I have to make sure my xcode is up to date my device is up to date. my editor is up to date. my viewer and its files are up to date. 1 wrong step and it still doesnt work. To many steps to trouble shoot.
    FRUSTRATING AS HELL

Well, for one, you should download the newest Xcode 4.5. Secondly, calm down. Being frustrated will make the simplest problems more complicated, simply because you begin over thinking and making mistakes.
