Kindle Fire Testing - Can't get viewer on my device?

Hey guys,
I can't get the Gamesalad Viewer on my Kindle Fire.
When I type in ~/sdk/platform-tools/adb devices
It says list of devices attached by the kindle isn't shown? It is connected by USB. Any ideas?
