Sprint Questions??

Hey guys! Currently, I am with US Cellular and wanting to switch to Sprint so I can get the iPhone (Verizon is too expensive for me) and had a couple questions.

1) How is Sprints 3G, speed wise?
2) Since this will be my first contract on my own, when I sign up, do I have to pay the monthly fee then, or just the phone and activation fee?

I have not used sprint, but I have yet to hear anything bad in the areas that they cover. It will depend on where you live and there are tower limitations/restrictions in your area and how much traffic is on it.

I think #2 is something you need to ask sprint. Who knows what current packages, special offers etc. that they currently have.
