Why do all images go out of order under the library section? It is very frustrating when dealing with animations! Anyone have a solution?

Just reorder them. But if you drag select instead of shift select it tends to bring them in order.

Importing an image sequence into GameSalad messes up the sequence order - so import the sequence, create an actor and apply an animation behaviour, drag the frames into the animation behaviour from the images panel, then drag the same frames directly from your desktop into the animation panel, you will be asked if you want to replace each frame, hit enter ('replace') for each one (do not use 'apply to all') - this will put the frames in the correct order.

Note: you will end up with two animate behaviours on the actor, you need to delete the old out of order one - so you know which to delete, before dragging the frames from the desktop set the animate behaviour at some arbitrary frame rate - let's say 22 fps (basically anything other than 10 fps) after you've re-imported from the desktop and have two animate behaviours keep the one set at 10 fps (which is the new correctly ordered on) and delete the 22 fps one.

Hope all that makes sense !

Some people say drag select helps, some people say shift select helps - but in my own experience GameSalad has never been able to maintain the order of a sequence regardless of how I select the frames, it's a real pain when you are dealing with large numbers of image sequences and really disappointing to see the problem continue for version after version, year after year. I did work out a solution of sorts (see post above), but you'd think something as basic as maintaining sequence order could be handled by a piece of software running on OSX in the year 2013 !

On a side note, I wonder if the Windows version of GameSalad suffers the same problem ?

In the meantime I am hiring myself out as a professional GameSalad frame reorderer, €$£20 per frame.
