Question regarding resizing

We currently have an iPhone game, but are trying to bump it up to iPad. We've tried using the Quick Resizer by Deep Blue Apps, but it also stretches the art, which we don't want, as we want to add a decorative border to the iPad version. Is it possible to raise the aspect ratio up to the iPad's without the art being stretched or anything like that? Thanks.

@pure.digital.magic: The GS Project Resizer tool allows you to maintain the aspect ratio as you describe in your post. To ensure your project is scaled in ratio, you need to do the following:

iPhone Portrait -> iPad Portrait example
    1. Open Resizer
    2. Drag your project onto the window
    3. Set the Resize target to iPad Portrait
    4. Click on the [Advanced] button
    5. Set the [Enable Ratio Scaling] option to ON
    6. Check the [Respect Y Size]
    7. Enter an offset in the [Offset X] box - ie 42 pixels (centre)
    8. Click [Resize Project]
    9. Done.

See the settings in the screenshot below.

Using these settings your iPhone Portrait project will be evenly scaled to iPad Portrait and positioned in the CENTRE of the screen - with small black borders to the LEFT and RIGHT. Obviously, you can apply a similar set of rules to your Landscape projects too.

    Hope this helps
