Hi everyone, Im having trouble comprehending why having one very uncolorful background image 512 x 512 is causing my fps to get to around 30... Can anyone explain how to go about getting it back up to 60? That is the only thing on my screen, except for a white scene color.

- It has no physics
- It is not movable

I have loss 2 weeks with that.
If you test it with iphone 4 you can get 60fps sure.
The problem is when you try to resize your project to iphone retina, and the computer need to resize all, and next xcode resize other time all.
If you test it on an real device you get 60fps sure.
This is the real raison for that. Other people only can say: Hey dunno why you take 30fps, i make projects and take 60fps.

The "scientific" raison is because your project needs to be resize it two times. On real device you take 60fps.

    I also recommended you that:

What @mrpacogp said . . . If you are getting these results from Xcode (rather than from an actual device) then don't take them too seriously, testing on an actual device will give you the true numbers.
