Selecting objects in editor

This is a silly question, but how do you select objects outside the Scene editor? I accidentally dragged an object out of the screen (into the grey bliss area), and I want to delete it, but I don't know how to select it. Thanks!

NEver find I figured it out. I just temporarily made the scene bigger so the actor was selectable.

Hi @Gordio283 Either make the scene bigger temporarily, or in the Scene Editor: click on Scene, then Layers.

Open the Layer group, probably called Background.

There you'll see all of your actors used in that scene. Select the one you want to delete, then pressed the minus button.

A tip, if you just wanted to move it back onto the screen, double-click the name of the actor. This will bring up the actor's edit/rules window; change the actor's position to the x and y positions for it to be seen.

Edit: typing while you posted again.

Another quick cheat I use . . . (only applicable when you have just one copy of the actor in the scene):

    1) In the Actors window, duplicate the actor that you can't get to in the scene . . .
    2) Then delete the original Actor in the Actors window.
