copy in the appstore

Hello, I had a doubt. I am creating a game for iphone, in a little visited flash game, I saw a character that I really liked and literally copy.

my question is appstore is fixed if it is a copy, or only if the game works correctly? does fixing appstore to accept it?

@jackk Hello, if you "literally copied" a character from another game, you should only use this temporarily in private while you design and make your game in GSC. Then you should replace it with your own graphic, or bought graphic with a licence agreement, before submitting for the app store.

If you keep it in the game and submit to the appstore, and you've no copyright agreement or permission with the company/artist, you are stealing someone else's work, as simple as that.

If Apple discover that you are using any images or sounds/music where you have no permission to do so, your game will not be accepted into the iTunes store.

Yep, as Gyroscope said taking and using other people's work without the creators' permission is know as 'theft'.

Taking it because it's in a little visited flash game is no different than stealing a car because no one seemed to be using it, it was just sat there in a garage.

Also can steal you the idea even if the images are different... If I take an image from google also would be stealing.

I want to make some old games but cant find the company or contact with the company developer, and i`m find that games on apple store or play store with a very poor quality.
Maybe i`m not the best for making art games, but some games claim to kill their artist!

On spain copyright agreement for some creations expire in about 40 years, maybe something similar for digital art could be interesting....but too hard to define.
