do i need new version of GS for overcan

in Working with GS (Mac)
i use GS 10.0 not 10.1 so wondering does over scan not work when you upload with the old version, i picked over-scan for iphone game but still showed bars on iphone 5. so i assume id need the new gs program for my iphone 5 actors to kick in i i used the code that was posted on GS helper about adjusting screen size if its =568 or what ever it was.

    I would assume you would need the latest version to take advantage of the latest features.
