Damn, I missed it. Oh well i'm installing 4.0 in my iPhone now :D

How can you be installing it on your phone now?
I thought they said they're releasing it this summer.

If you want to see the conference now you can see it here (Q&A is still happening)

Also if you want to see the entire thing on video apple always upload it to their site about 3-4 hours after it finished

I think that is very difficult to implement Game Center in our Game Salad games, because it need to interact with the code in Xcode.... :(
Why I can't compile my app myself?? :(

I'm nervous to install the new 4.0 OS beta.

    1. It can be buggy as hell.
    2. There may be no way to downgrade the OS.
    3. Genius Bar may not be able to take it in for warranty exchange or repair.
    4. It may not be unlockable (for those locked into a carrier).
    5. If any of the first four go into effect, you may not be able to resell it until the 4.0 final is released - especially if a new iPhone model comes out before then.

Restore it whilst holding the options key :)

    1. Plug in iPhone.
    2. Extract IPSW file from DMG file, or mount the DMG file.
    3. Hold down the Option key and click Update / Restore button in iTunes.
    4. Select the IPSW file.

FYI, considering it's only April and the final won't be out until the Summer (I'm figuring June or July), that's 2-3 months of dealing with a beta OS. And, considering how buggy 2.0 and 3.0 were when they were before the final Golden Master seed was issued, I'd be VERY wary of installing it.

    I'll hold off then.

Is it buggy or sluggish? Can you downgrade?

You can restore. Always, just back it up. Its pointless on mine. How do you switch apps?

    And where is iAd?
And there is no set wall button.

No, I meant, I don't think you can go back to 3.1.3 if you find that 4.0 beta is buggy...

@iDeveloperz iAd is an advertising option that will be available at launch date and it will be used to publicize our applications. it will work just like ad mob (well... more or less). it has nothing to do with the ipod.

    @BeyondtheTech the main updates: http://www.gsproforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=30
i noticed they have changed the dock a bit and also all the icons. love the new calculator icon.
Btw, it is not buggy,(so far). i am still downloading the sdk (xcode) so that i can install GS viewer.
You can actually downgrade from 4.0. find a 3.2 firmware and Option-click restore and select the firmware.
I think it is worth it :)
ahh.... also remember that it deletes all the contents in the iphone! remember to do a backup before upgrading!!!
