Creating youtube videos for apps

Hi Guys

Just wanted to know what are some of the best practices/tools/utilities/hardware/software in your experiences for creating YouTube videos for apps.

How do you record your app from iPhone/iPad/Android devices?

Cheers

You can run your game in GS iOS viewer in simulator and use QuickTime to record. QuickTime has a capturing option build in in lion.

@zoope yes you can definitely use the above mentioned quicktime player, but i've found it to be clunky when it comes to options. Check it out though! Its free!
That said i looove screenflick 2. Google it. Its like 30 or so bucks and has been such an incredible tool for me. You can choose your capture sizes and settings, tell it which audio you want it to capture (mic or system), etc. Really great!
I use final cut pro 7 to cut my stuff but if you're not an editor or don't have the money to use fcp, then use imovie. Its a great free tool that comes with the mac that will allow you to add titles and music with drag and drop ease. Obviously fcp has more features and will allow for finer tuning, but it is by no means a neccesity.
    Hope this helps!

I have found Screenium to be a great program. Has a nice built in editor, and many other great features. Hope this helps! http://www.syniumsoftware.com/screenium/

Screencast-o-matic is another great one. It's free but you can also get pro tools for $15 bucks a year. It makes it really easy to upload to youtube also. Here's a link: http://www.screencast-o-matic.com

Hope you find one you like :D
