Trying to understand overscanning for universal builds.

Hello,

I am trying to understand overscanning so I can create universal builds. I currently have a ipad landscape app thats not rentia display and am trying to have it show correctly on the iphone 4 and also iphone 5. When I view the game in preview mode and select to crop either the iphone landscape mode or legacy iphone landscape modes part of the upper and lower parts of the game have been chopped off. What can I do to make sure it looks correct?

Thanks

What you are seeing is how it will look unless you tweak your code to take the new screen sizes into consideration.

You either need to go back into the scenes, and move things down so that they will work correctly no matter the device, or you need to have a rule that checks the device screen size (height), and move the images to where you would like them placed accordingly.

Unfortunately, Universal Builds is not an "Easy Button" kind of thing. It's gonna take some tweaking. :-)

Looks like the settings below work. Currently I have it checking the devices screen size and if the width is 480 to have it change camera size height to 853 and also camera origin Y to -42.5. Also if device width equals 568 to have it change camera size height to 1009 and also camera origin Y to -120.5

@games4fun - Tried your setting and they work well though the iPhone 5 images look a little squashed, top to bottom. With that being a retina devise pixel perfect seems important.
