Why does the GS Creator run so slow?

Does anyone know why sometimes the GS creator runs so slow it is very frustrating.

When that happens I just restart my Mac. Works every time.

Yep quit the software and reopen can fix it when it slows. It seems to hog RAM and often on my laptop the fan comes on and the beachball appears a lot. Time to restart or reopen.
