Hello I'm new here I was thinking about making an app awhile back but never really looked much into coding I figured I learn it in college. But now I'm really in the need of money and I'm hoping I can use this to make a great app so I can afford to go back to college. Well I'm using a Dell deesktop and when I tried to install the game creator it said I was missing a few prerequisites so various things came up. I was wondering though Haali Media Splitter popped up too and I'm unsure of what it is so, do I need that?

You can, but don't think you'll become a millionair overnight.

I think what he's saying is that you CAN make money with your app, but doing so is hard. I've only been using this program for a day, and I can attest to the fact that it's hard to get the hang of. Even once you do, you'll need to create a killer game, make killer art, upload it to the App Store (or wherever) and hope it sells well.

I wouldn't pin my college education on striking gold in the App Store. It's like winning the lotto.

Good luck, though, if you do stick around :)

Yeah it never hurts to keep your day job. I think there's older versions of the GS Creator that you can download available. I don't have the link off the top of my head, unfortunately. Good luck!
